(Summer 2005....I think)

The biggest thing that stinks about being 1800 miles from my home town (Katy, Texas) is the fact that I always miss Mother's and Father's Day. I'm not sure when the last time I was actually in Texas during May or June, but it seems like it has been a long time.

The other thing that stinks about being so far away is how communication becomes more difficult, especially since I'm the kind of person that best keeps up with people only when I can interact with them face to face.

I don't miss the June weather in Texas (!!!), but there is part of me that misses getting to do more than show up once a year in the midst of a hurried holiday season!

And in spite of all the crazy, logic-defying things that my Father does to his computer, I still love him!
